Frequency Drawer
Frequency Drawer
The Frequency Drawer is a tool for visualizing the unseen frequencies in our environment. The concept explores perspective, emphasizing that we can't always see what we hear—similar to how some species, like bats, communicate through high-frequency screeches beyond human perception. This idea extends to those who are deaf, where the degree of hearing loss is linked to the ability to detect various frequencies.

My interface captures both low and high frequencies, each triggering an image generated from the frequency sensor's data. The canvas uses your phone's camera to provide a live view of your surroundings, overlaying these frequency-based images to reveal what’s normally invisible or inaudible. The design aims to connect us with the broader ecosystems around us, encouraging reflection on the hidden aspects of our environment and how we might interact with other species, whether they be animals or other life forms.
